A manufacturer of interior display systems, way-finding and architectural hardware is looking for an experienced project coordinator/sales representative to service and expand the Chicago market.
You will be a one-person show in the Chicago area responsible for prospecting, estimating, and complete cycle project/information management. Must be able to wear multiple hats!
Main Responsibilities: (% of time spent)
• Design develop, estimate and co-ordinate each project. Involves developing specs with designer, gathering quotes from various suppliers, scheduling delivery, and coordinating installations. – 40%
• Account manage existing clients in Chicago through meetings, emails, presentations and telephone calls – 30%
• Blow the door off the Chicago Market by prospecting and developing new relationships with designers, architects, end users, contractors & sign shops. – 30%
Skills Required:
You must be highly organized and hands-on
You must possess a minimum of 5 year experience in the signage, fixture, or interior construction industry
You must be great at multi-tasking and handling up to 30 projects at once
You must understand the flow of paperwork; previous experience with quoting/estimating an asset
You must possess a college degree
Previous experience working with, or selling to: architects, designers and end users
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary
Working knowledge of Goldmine or another CRM a plus
Highly self-motivated as you will work out of your home office and travel to headquarters every 3 months
