Independent penetration tester is looking for a sales representative to locate new business. It is very important for any sales agents that I use to be knowledgeable of not only information systems but also information systems security.

Sales Opportunity offered:

I am independent penetration tester. A penetration test is a method of evaluating the security of a computer system or network by simulating an attack from a malicious source, known as a Black Hat Hacker, or Cracker. I specialize in external penetration tests or attacks from the Internet. While I prefer network and host penetration tests, I will do website or web application penetration tests as well.

This means that my clients can be anywhere in the world. Therefore, there is no limitation on the location where you can find potential business. However, only certain sizes and types of companies would be interested in a penetration test. They would have to have computer systems on the Internet such as firewalls, VPN devices, email servers, web servers, etc and must also be a sufficient size to afford the cost of the test. This can range anywhere from $5,000 to $40,000 per test. It is very important for any sales agents that I use to be knowledgeable of not only information systems but also information systems security in order to make these kinds of sales happen.

Your goal will be to find me businesses that would have a need for this type of testing, be interested in having this sort of testing done, and can afford to pay the going rate for this type of testing. When you do find them, you will arrange a meeting between them and me. It is very important who you contact to pursue this. Only certain individuals within an organization can be approached for this type of service. The individual must be management level, has the budget for the level of expenditure involved, and also authorized to sign a contract. This means the individuals will mostly be at the director level or of equivalent responsibility.

I will meet with all prospective clients in order to get an idea of the scope of the work involved and any requirements that they may have. Due to the remote nature of the work, these meetings will occur online through a site such as GoToMeeting. After we are able to meet, which will most likely be several times, a proposal will be sent to them. Should they accept the proposal, a contract would be signed.

Once a contract is signed and payment is received from them, which happens before any work commences, I will pay you your commission. The commission rate is negotiable.
